Built to solve what others can’t
Wild Capital was founded to solve a structural problem in England’s planning system: environmental constraints — biodiversity, nutrient neutrality, protected species — were consistently the constraints that derailed consents and added years to programmes. The market needed an operator with the capital, expertise, and land position to solve them reliably, at scale, and ahead of consent.
We own freehold land, create and register habitat units, and sell statutory credits to developers who cannot deliver compliance on-site. We also take on long-term management obligations from developers who have created habitat on their own land but are not set up to steward it for 30+ years.
Uniquely, for our scale, we own the freehold to all our mitigation schemes — backed by independently managed endowments and a Defra-certified Responsible Body.
